Content ? Stay There !

When you get to a point of being truly content with yourself it takes way more energy for things to bring you down. Misery and unhappiness even become easier to spot in others. It seeps through the pores of a lot of familiar faces.

Those same faces may see you as a target and try to bring you down. They don't like to see someone enjoying life or may even feel the need to compete. Try to categorize and acknowledge what type of roles people play in your life. When you realize the type of person these people are it saves you a lot of time and stress.

Don't ever think that you can change someone and don't ever allow anyone to change you. Negative energy is contagious. It's completely ok to step away or remove it from your life. The difficult part is sometimes it's the people we care about the most. We try so hard to help them that their poison and infectious energy may even become one with us during the process.

There is a line between being there for someone and knowing when its time to walk away. Balance is so important! Lack of balance reminds me of the Dr. Seuss' book The Cat in the Hat. The cat in this book continuously held and balanced an abundance of household items on top of one another. This was because he was sure he could handle it. The unfortunate part of this is eventually he fell on his head. When you place too much on yourself everything you have taken responsibility for will fall when you do. Remember things that you cannot handle either deal with it later or let it go. Its ok to help and be there for people but don't let those people interfere with your happiness. Placing too much energy in the wrong places will bring you down. Stay in your happy place and if you're not already there find out why.
