Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a powerful thing. It releases something that you don't even realize has control over you. You know the saying "It feels like a weight is lifted off of my shoulders." Well, that's because holding in anger drains your energy.

Lack of forgiveness can affect your mood, your day, your plans, and etc. I know just as much as the next person that people can do some messed up things. Trust me I've been hurt plenty of times before. However, what I realized over time is I needed to change the way I looked at situations and change myself. The way we perceive things can cause many different outcomes. Getting hurt doesn't create happy emotions, but you should learn something from the situation.

Sometimes we get hurt repeatedly by the same situation because we consistently miss the lesson we were meant to learn. For example, if you're in school and you fail everything will you pass on to the next grade? Of course not!  We continuously get hurt because there are lessons we need to learn. Once we actually apply those lessons we see how our lives improve and why the hurt needed to happen.

Pain and hurt are necessary to grow. It is the hardship before the red carpet, the late night studying before the degree, and the clean eating before the weight loss. So don't be upset by past experiences. Recognize that they make you stronger and wiser than you could've ever imagined before. If you want to get to the next level clean sweeps are necessary. Detox your life to make it to new altitudes you haven't reached before.
